Message The stiffer the chassis, the better the suspension works. For one it allows road imperfections to be absorbed by the actual suspension and not absorbed through chassis flex.

Two, if the strut towers can flex front/back or side to side, this can change things like toe and camber on the fly while negotiating turns, hard braking/accelerating through turns, etc.

Furthermore, there is a push/pull effect on the towers (causing suspension deflection) depending which wheel is loaded or unloaded in a turn. As one side of the suspension pulls in during cornering the other pushes out. locking the towers together with a brace minimizes this effect and distributes the load more evenly.

All seems to make sense to me...
